Fruit Mineral:
Fruit analysis determines the concentrations of the major
mineral components, recognized for their contribution
to storage and marketability. Cascade Analytical's growing database can help growers get a handle on the storage potential
of their fruit. Samples taken 3 weeks pre-harvest will give you information you may need to segregate
between weak and strong blocks of fruit. Several renowned and respected Washington
tree fruit packers and shippers are using this data to guide
cultural programs, and to assure improved delivery of the famous
and dependable Washington Apple!
Fruit Mineral
Package:
Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium,
Boron, Zinc
We also test fruit for Pesticides, Insecticides
and Herbicides - please see below.
Fruit Maturity:
Starch in the apple converts to sugar
during the maturation process. This simple physiological
phenomenon can be measured and monitored by using an iodine
solution. Cascade Analytical supplies this solution, as well as photos which have
the hydrolysis pattern for many popular apple varieties. Our
Fruit Maturity Data System helps growers, field-staff and quality
control people track data in a convenient 5"X 8"
binder. We ship supplies throughout the continental US and
welcome distributor inquiries.

Irrigation Water Analysis:
The analysis of the water used to irrigate crops helps to determine what
nutrients are being added by the water. This can potentially cut down on
the amount of fertilizer needed. Irrigation water quality analysis also
gives the pesticide applicator information which can be used to optimize
pesticide efficiency if the water is properly buffered. Cascade Analytical's report gives
the water an overall quality
ranking and lists its suitability for irrigation.
